I love Indiana Jones.
He is one of my favorite characters of all time.
Not only because Harrison Ford has, and always will be, so ruggedly handsome, but because he doesn’t give up. He is brave and has true conviction in his missions.
When I read this prompt I immediately thought of the scene in The Last Crusade where he has to jump a great chasm to reach the cavern where the Holy Grail is. He thinks it’s impossible, but then he hears his dad gasping for air, dying from the room behind him.
His dad says, you must believe.
So he takes a step forward, even though it doesn’t make any sense.
His faith is rewarded because the bridge, the path, was always there; it was just hidden.
I’m largely leaving the life I have known for nearly four years behind because God asked me to. He led me somewhere new and said, here.
It still doesn’t fully make sense to me, but that’s why it’s called a leap of faith.
“You will receive your biggest blessings outside of your comfort zone. So get comfortable with constant change, feeling uneasy, and taking many calculated or random risks. Take a leap of faith.”
